About
About Waterloo Drywalling
A direct booking line for one vetted, insured drywall contractor working across Waterloo and the surrounding townships.
Waterloo Drywalling is a booking line. It is not a drywall company and does not present itself as one. The site exists so that a landlord with a unit to turn over, a condo owner with a cracked ceiling, or a homeowner in Laurelwood with a basement to finish gets to one vetted, insured contractor quickly, instead of filling in several lead forms and being called by a dozen people for a fortnight.
What that means in practice: the work is done by a drywall contractor who carries their own insurance and WSIB coverage, quotes in writing after looking at the job, and is accountable for it. Your details are not sold on to a list of contractors and you are not entered into an auction.
The site is straight about permits, licences and condo boundaries because getting them wrong is expensive. The permit thresholds and basement rules quoted here are the City of Waterloo's published ones, the rental licence classes and requirements are the City's, the second-unit and garage requirements are from Ontario's Building Code and the provincial second-unit guide, all as of 2026. Where something is the City's or the condo corporation's to confirm, this site says so rather than guessing.
Some jobs are declined. Boarding a partition that changes a rental's bedroom count without a permit, opening a rated condo wall without the corporation, scraping a pre-1990 textured ceiling without a lab test, and patching a ceiling under a leak nobody intends to fix are all better turned down than started.
How this works
When you call 548-490-2700 or send the form, your details go straight to the drywall contractor covering Waterloo — not to a list, and not to a call centre. Calls go to voicemail if they are on a job, which most of the day they are, and the message and your number reach them immediately by text and email. Expect a call back the same day or the next working day. The next step is a site visit, because a drywall quote made without seeing the unit, the ceiling or what is behind the old wall is a guess: the visit settles the list of repairs, the board types, the finish level, the boxing and bulkheads, whether a permit, a licence question or an asbestos test is in the way, and the written quote follows from that.
What we won't do
- Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
- Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
- Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
